Guided by a deep appreciation for the sensoriality of objects, French artist and ceramist Karim Rahman has created a collection of refined vases and centrepieces. On showcase at Il Fioraio with Forte dei Marmi’s scenic shoreside in the backdrop, the pieces exude a unique artistic vision underpinned by meticulous craft.

Veiled in sensoriality

Elegant in form and evocative in profile, the ceramics translate the sensory richness of the House’s textiles into clay. The lines are soft, sinuous, and organic – almost like precious textiles, artfully draped from a figure, with a unique touch that needs to be felt to be appreciated.

Encapsulating a piece of history

Almost powdery and sandy to the touch, the pieces have a raw feel and are finished with a creamy marble-like glaze, developed by Karim Rahman himself. Following extensive research, the artist has created special Kummel and Malachite green colourways, nodding at Loro Piana’s codes.

Masterfully sculpted by hand

Entirely crafted a mano, the pieces are realised with the same level of artisanship as the House’s signature textiles. The results are truly unique creations that carry their maker’s artistic signature.
